Well, crack the joke about when Boise State gets the winner of tonight's game in Pasadena, but unfortunately as awesome as the BCS system is, tonight's winner will be crowned the national champion.
Yeah, when Texas and Alabama are done tonight one will be undefeated and the national champ, but the whispers are going to be getting a little louder with Boise State sitting on the sidelines with an unblemished schedule to their credit, too.
But, nonetheless, tonight's game is for all the marbles. I really like the coaching matchup in this game as it could come down to Nick Saban and Mack Brown making big time decisions late in the game. A true heavyweight showdown.
Plus, the quarterbacks (see Colt McCoy above) are great, as well as the defenses. This is truly two of the premiere college programs in the country getting to strut their stuff in the Rose Bowl for the grandest prize college football has to offer.
I'm not going to get into X's and O's because I'm guessing someone can do it better and I've been absent from any other bowl talk, so why would you listen to me in the first place? Yeah, I know.

My pick: I really like Colt McCoy and he's always so cool under pressure. I see him making the plays to win the game. Texas wins a close one 24-21.
